Workplace Wellbeing is collaborating with researchers at the University of Canterbury (Drs Malinen, Näswall and Wong) in evaluating how the Wellbeing Challenge supports your wellbeing.

We invite you to participate in this research and Challenge development. The researchers will be given access to information about your activities in the Challenge and the weekly surveys to provide us with information on what works best in the Challenge.

To be able link Challenge activities to survey responses, the researchers would like to have your email address. This is completely voluntary, and if you provide your email address, we will treat your responses confidentially. Your email will be matched to an anonymous code, and this code will allow us to link your responses over time. Your email will be stored separately from your responses, and will be permanently deleted once the research is completed.

The researchers will only present results based on high-level summaries, meaning no one will know that you participated, or how you responded. The results may be published in academic journals and in future informational materials about the Challenge.

If you have any questions about the research project or how your responses will be treated, don’t hesitate to contact any of the researchers, their information is listed below.

The research project was reviewed and approved by the University of Canterbury Human Ethics Committee (ref no 2020/22), and participants can address any complaints to The Chair, Human Ethics Committee, University of Canterbury, Private Bag 4800, Christchurch (human-ethics@canterbury.ac.nz).

If you do not want to participate in the research, you just leave the email field blank – you are still most welcome to participate in the Wellbeing Challenge.
